The main reason for exercising is overall fitness and health.It has a lot of benefits.
Longlife
People who are physically active, live longer and dont die prematurely
New brain cells are developed.
Exercise stimulates the formation of new brain cells .Your memory and learning areas are vastly improved.
Mental functions are improved.
Physical activity enhances memory and problem solving which are important in decision making process.
A physically fit child will do well in their academic field by improving their memory and attention.
Prevents Heart Disease and Lowers Cholerterol.
Lack of excercise is one of the major factors for cardiovascular diseases. There is a direct link between physical inactivity and cardiovascular deaths.
Regular physical activity makes your heart stronger and lowers cholesterol. A strong heart can pump more blood with less effort. Regular exercise will prevent heart disease by lowering your blood pressure,
Lowers blood pressure and reduces risk of developing hypertension.
All types of exercise are effective in reducing blood pressure. Regular exercise may decrease blood pressure in overweight persons without changes in their body weight.
Weight control:
Regular excerise helps to reach healthy weight. Exercise burns calories. If a person takes in more calories than needed in a day, exercise speeds the rate of energy use, resulting in increased metabolism.
Strengthens bones and prevents osteoporosis.
An active lifestyle benefits bone density. Regular weight-bearing exercise promotes bone formation, delays bone loss and may protect against osteoporosis (associated with aging)
Stronger immune system.
Regular moderate exercise seems to have a beneficial effect on the immune system.

If you suffer from poor sleep daily exercise can help. Regular exercise provides good quality of sleep, longer sleep duration and feeling rested in the morning.This one is my favorite.

Exercise stimulates brain chemicals, which may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. (Exercise releases chemicals called endorphins into your blood stream. These give you a feeling of an overall sense of well-being.)
Combats Depression
Exercise promotes mental health and reduces symptoms of depression.
Exercise releases tension in muscles, help you sleep better and reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. It increases body temperature, which may have calming effects.
So go ahead and excerise.Its for your own good.

Excellent hub Tania 101 we all need to take exercise and quite often is much easier just to rest up in front of the TV, exercise is a vital part of our lives and we should all tale more.
